9.11 We remember

So I was watching United 93 and after having a good cry I knew what my homework for art was going to be this week.

I remember where I was when this happened...I remember what I was thinking and what I was doing. I remember how old I was....I remember what I was wearing...I remember watching the second plane hit the World Trade center on CNN...I remember hearing about the Pentagon on the radio...I was ten years old

I couldn't tell you what music I skated to when I won my first gold medal in figure skating...or how old I was...or where I won it....

I have been alive for seventeen years and my most vivid memory is September 11th 2001...

I don't understand how anyone could think we could or would do this horror to ourselves. I don't understand how anyone could have done this....



For anyone who lost someone in the September 11th attacks and does not live near DC, I will be making a special visit to the new 9/11 memorial there during Thanksgiving break. If you give me the name of your loved one I will say a special prayer for them over the place where their name is in the memorial.
